Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurological disorder. Children with ADHD have difficulty paying attention, are easily distracted and are often impulsive. Some children with ADHD are also hyperactive. ADHD impacts a child’s life because the child may make careless mistakes, have a hard time organizing their assignments and fail to finish their work. The child may not be able to keep their body still when appropriate, fidget, bother their neighbor or seem to be continually busy. Socially, ADHD can impact a child because they have a hard time being waiting their turn at play or during class, and instead interrupt the game or blurt out.
