Autistic Spectrum Disorder is a developmental disorder that is characterized by an individual’s problems in communication, sensory integration, social skills and certain personality traits. Because ASD is a spectrum disorder (think “rainbow”), not all individuals with autistic spectrum disorder have identical issues. Some traits may be more prevalent in one person than in another.
