telling time on an analog clock (one with hands)
counting out change (from a change jar or at the store)
estimating the cost of the ingredients for dinner
baking cookies (measuring, telling time, and reading)
reading the thermometer (and figuring out the degree of temperature change during the day)
playing board games, such as Monopoly, Payday or Life
practicing math facts and mental math in the car
online or CD computer games (somehow, they find this more fun that pencil and paper!)
