the “menu” for dinner or special occasions
penmanship practice – signing their name in cursive, practicing little, squished together “o’s” that string together
learning to type on the computer (many typing programs are out there, including Mavis Bacon, Type-to-Learn, and even SpongeBob)
having someone spell basic words in the car for the student to decipher
